What do I need to access the course?
You will require a reliable internet connection and access to a personal computer, tablet or phone – our online courses are best on a PC or tablet. To realise the most out of the course, you will need to have a good grasp of English to follow the videos and read any written content. It is best to do the course in a quiet location to concentrate and digest the helpful information.
Do I need any prior experience?
No, this course is to assist people with little to no building design and construction knowledge. If you benefit from prior knowledge, it would be beneficial to digest the content from the start and take your learning to the next level to make the journey easier.
How long will the course take me?
That is up to you! Being an online course, it is up to you how quickly you progress through the content. You can binge watch it or take your time to digest the content to ensure you absorb the information and benefit from the knowledge you have gained.
Can I stop the course and continue later?
Yes. The course is to be self paced so you can work it into your commitments, irrespective of when in the day you want to work on it. The content comes with lifelong access, so you can take time and complete it at your own pace.
Will this course apply if I’m not in Australia? The course is designed as a broad overview of the building process and things to consider. It will prompt you to consider what could apply to your circumstance and where to direct your investigations generally. It is written in simple English and to a level of detail that can apply to most places with a regulated and enforced Town Planning and Building environment. If you enrol and feel it is not applicable to your location you will be covered by our 90 day guarantee as we do not want to promote something that is of no benefit to our customers.
Will this course help me become an owner builder?
No, this course is provided as general knowledge only to help inform people of the home building process and things along the way.
Can I edit the checklists and calculators?
Yes, all are downloadable in Google Docs format and editable to suit your specific circumstances and needs. We in-fact recommend you edit them as you need them to addresses your specific circumstance.
Can I start the course in any lesson?
Yes, and No, initially we suggest no as the course is designed to be sequential with each module and lesson a building block for the next. Once you have completed the course, then return to revisit any lesson as you find it necessary and relevant to where you are in your journey.
Do we offer design reviews?
No, as our focus is to share knowledge to assist through the process and journey.

No, as our focus, for now, is knowledge and information to help you.
Are we available for 1 on 1 consultancy appointments?
No, at least for now, though we may consider it in the future.
